The business employs about 15,000 people in more than 100 countries, and sells products under the reveal® and energy smart® consumer brands, and among others Evolve™, GTx™, Immersion™, Infusion™, Lumination™, Albeo™ and Tetra® commercial brands, all trademarks of GE. As traditional incandescents will no longer be manufactured in the United States as of January 2014 due to their energy inefficiency and changing energy regulations, the new LED is engineered to have the same familiar size and shape of an incandescent bulb but deliver the GE reveal® color-enhanced spectrum of light with big energy and cost savings.
The reveal® line includes energy-efficient halogen, compact fluorescents (CFL), and decorative bulbs, with the new LEDs offered in 40- and 60-watt replacements, as well as a popular BR-30 shape for recessed fixture down-lighting.
The reveal® LED light bulbs are the best energy-efficient light bulbs available, lasting more than a decade based on three hours of use each day while the halogen reveal® bulbs are another energy efficient option, using 28% less energy than regular incandescent reveal® bulbs.
