Kroger, the nation’s largest supermarket chain, has announced that another division will stop offering double coupons. The “Delta Division” will be impacted, which encompasses the Memphis, Tennessee area, Arkansas, Mississippi, Western Kentucky, and Southern Missouri.
Kroger stores in this region will roll out “New Lower Prices” in the ad starting tomorrow, June 26th, 2013 and will stop doubling coupons effective July 10, 2013.
In a press release, Joe Bell, the manager of marketing and public affairs for Kroger’s Delta Division stated:
“We recognize this change might be an inconvenience for some shoppers who relied on the double coupons, but we feel lowering thousands of prices on everyday products will provide more value for all customers.”
The move follows similar changes made in other Kroger regions, starting with its stores in Texas and at Kroger-owned, Ralph’s, back in 2011.
