Albertsons & Rite Aid: Coupon Shopping Trip 5/13/13 ($97.62 – 98% Savings)

Albertsons and Rite Aid looked slow this week aside from a few deals, but I decided to venture out since I had $60 to spend at Rite Aid that I got for essentially FREE from this deal.

I ended up getting a little under $100 worth of stuff for $2.17 ($1.90 of tax) and still have $38 in rewards left to spend!

Albertsons & Rite Aid: Coupon Shopping Trip 5/13/13 ($97.62 – 98% Savings)

Here’s what I did:

Albertsons —

I ran this transaction six (6) times:

Barilla Pasta Sauce $1.50*
Buy: 3, Receive: $2 CAT

Buy: 3 x Barilla Pasta Sauce $4.50
Use: 3 x $1/1 Barilla Pasta Sauce (4/7 SS – Regional)
or 3 x 55¢/1 Barilla Pasta Sauce (4/7 SS – Regional)
Pay: $1.50, Receive: $2 CAT
Final Price: FREE + 50¢ Money Maker

I found a cart filled with candy on clearance for 25¢ and added two of those in each of my transactions to absorb the overage.

Rite Aid —

I bought:

6 x Dr. Pepper, 12 Packs $19.98
2 x Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream $7.00*
1 x Lay’s BBQ Chips $3.29
Use: 3 x $10 +UP Rewards from this deal
Pay: 27¢ + $1.90 (Tax), Receive: $8 +UP Rewards

* The store still had the tag up advertising the sale price from last week and honored it when I brought it to their attention.

Dr. Pepper, 12 Packs seem to be producing two +UP rewards.  On my receipt, I got 2 x $3 and 2 x $1 for what I bought.  So if you were to “buy” them, it’d work out to $1.99 per pack.
