*** UPDATE 10/31 *** A few people reported that they only got a $5 CAT, but I’m not sure what their scenario was/what coupons they used.

Note: It states that you are only issued a coupon if your total is $10 or $25 AFTER manufacturer’s coupons are redeemed and before tax.  However, they print before coupons most of the time.  Currently, it is unconfirmed.

  1. I did this deal this morning. The cats do indeed print after transaction is completed. So this actually yields the $5 catalina.

      1. I forgot to add the chapstick 🙁

My subtotal before coupons was $25.40 and then it dropped to $11.96 after coupons. Maybe I will go back this morning and try again….I can always return the first four, I think.

          1. Yes, I believe you are right, because I forgot the chapsticks so that would have been tax. Do you know if anyone has successfully done this with (4) Robitussin and (2) chapsticks?

            Thank you!

  2. I bet it would work as long as your pre-tax total is $25+ after coupons. Just buy some other items (maybe with doubles on Sunday) along with the ones in the deal. When the coupons are scanned they show up as “vendor coupon” near the bottom half of the recipit and don’t match up with the item they are for. So the computer would have no way of knowing if you spent $25 on the required items or not. Just a theory. Gonna try it out tomorrow. I’ll let you know. 😉
